Bill Daye

Bill Daye is the founding and managing partner of Daye & Partners.  Bill brings over 45 years of experience and expertise in accounting and taxation.

After obtaining his Bachelor of Commerce in accounting from the University of British Columbia and attaining his CA, Bill joined a large national accounting firm where he practiced until 1991.

In 1991 Bill established Daye & Company, where he was able to offer his experience with financial, organization and management matters with his clients.  Shortly following the merger of Daye & Company with a national accounting firm, Bill founded Daye & Partners.

Bill has had numerous professional affiliations throughout the years with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta, Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia, the Canadian Tax Foundation and the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners and as such has continued to maintain his high technical and professional standards within the accounting profession.

His areas of expertise include a specialization in corporate reorganizations, agricultural tax matters, estate succession planning, and appeals with the Canada Revenue Agency.

Bill’s focus on teamwork and making a difference in the community has been demonstrated throughout the years with service on the boards of the Edmonton Big Sister Society, Big Brothers & Sisters of Edmonton, Edmonton Police Commission, Agriculture Financial Services Corporation (AFSC), and the Canadian Tax Foundation.

Extensive experience with private enterprise clients in a variety of sectors including Oil and Gas, Real Estate, Agriculture and Investment Holdings.

Privatization of publicly-held companies as well as assisting with the purchases and sales of a vast range of businesses.

Re-organizing of share ownership, inter-generational transfers, estate planning, and “butterfly” transactions.

Tax planning covering a wide range of issues including public offerings, takeover bids, expansion of international operations, acquisitions, divestitures and cross-border tax planning.

Estate planning on both a pre and post-mortem basis to minimize taxes for the estate and beneficiaries.

Assisting clients with tax authority audits and assessments, including filing Notices of Objection.

Rebecca Flynn

Rebecca joined Daye & Partners in January 2013.  She brings over 20 years of professional experience, including more than 10 years of specialized tax experience.  Her focus is in the Agricultural sector, however she has many years of assisting clients in various industries.  When not in the office, Rebecca and her husband enjoy travelling and spending time on her family’s farm.  Rebecca became a partner in 2014.

Nathan Hoag

Nathan has worked with Bill the majority of his accounting career, and he joined Bill to form Daye & Partners in 2011.  He has over 15 years of experience assisting private enterprise clients in a diverse array of industries, with a particular emphasis on the Agricultural and Oil and Gas sectors.  Nathan provides accounting, assurance and tax services to owner-managed companies and not for profit enterprises. When he is not in the office, Nathan spends much of his free time with his family, including his four active children. They enjoy participating in sports together and being active outdoors.

Ravneet Verma

Ravneet joined Daye & Partners in February 2020 as a Senior Manager.  She has almost 15 years of experience with a national accounting firm where she worked with private enterprise clients in a variety of industries, developing long term business relationships as an advisor to these clients.  Ravneet provides accounting, assurance and tax services to owner-managed businesses, for profit companies and not for profit organizations.   When not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and doing fitness activities to stay active

Lisa Towner

Lisa joined Daye & Partners as receptionist and Bill’s administrative assistant in 2015.  As a receptionist, Lisa is often our clients’ first point of contact with Daye & Partners, coordinating meetings and correspondence.

Tiez Lysenko

Tiez joined Daye & Partners in 2011 as an accounting technician.  She also assists with IT and administrative matters.
