Rebecca joined Daye & Partners in January 2013. She brings almost 20 years of professional experience, including more than 10 years of specialized tax experience. Her focus is in the Agricultural sector, however she has many years of assisting clients in various industries. When not in the office, Rebecca and her husband enjoy travelling and spending time on her family’s farm. Rebecca became a partner in January 2014.
Designing and implementing strategies to transfer assets between individuals, corporations, partnerships and trusts on a tax effective basis.
Planning related to the structure of businesses, including restructuring to achieve financial objectives in a tax effective manner.
Tax planning for private enterprises including income tax planning, remuneration strategies and planning for business succession.
Estate planning on both a pre and post-mortem basis to minimize taxes for the estate and beneficiaries.
Significant experience with the various Canadian tax compliance activities of Canadian controlled private corporations, partnerships, individuals and inter-vivos and testamentary trusts.
Assisting clients with tax authority audits and assessments, including filing Notices of Objection.
Providing accounting and assurance services to owner managed businesses.
